Worldwide Wednesdays

As many of you know we have a large base of International Posties. Being that we are an American company the majority of our advertisers are currently in the US and are targeting US bloggers. Let's not get into that whole readership thing here, that is not what this post is about.

I want you all to know that I am aware that you get segmented out of some Opportunities. Last week we brought back 1K Tuesdays. 1K Tuesdays have no segmentation, The Opps are open to everyone no matter where you live or how big or small the blog.

This week we are going to introduce a new twist and see what you all think. 1K Tuesday will run as it did last week but from Wednesday at noon EDT to Thursday at noon EDT we will introduce some Opps that are only for bloggers living outside of America. We will have an 2 additional $50 Opps and 1 $150 Opp that are segmented only to exclude American bloggers. Depending on where you live that can be some big cash. Good luck all and let us know what you think.

I think that's really cool to have something specially segmented for International (outside US) posties. I will try my best to be in front of my PC to grab that special opps..with the currency conversion now that amount could really help for the coming festive season. :) Thanks PPP for considering us!

Oh man as great as the 1K Tuesdays is the thought of the opps running through Thursday is exhausting... People are all on during those times which makes it virtually impossible to get any posts. And now that the 1k Tuesdays actually over I haven't even seen any posts at all through the rest of the week but, 2.

Hi,
That is a brilliant idea. Though I never get any such opp of $1k and $100 or $50, I appreciate what PPP is doing. I think there are lot of bloggers outside USA, especially here in Asia.

Living in Canada I don't have the disadvantages that most of the other posties had. It's great you are doing what you can on your part.

I can't believe you would go and discriminate against US posties like this. Unbelievable.

I think it's great.

Will definitely wait up and get ready that pot of extra strong black coffee.

Personally I do not have a problem with segmentation. Whatever makes the advertiser happy, right? :-)

As for the special 'Wed' deal, I can't say I'm not touched by PPP's kind consideration for folks outside US. Just want to say Thank YOU!

Silly question because it's really not likely to happen ... what if a non-us postie got a 1K Tuesday op. Would they still be eligible for a Worldwide Wednesday op too?

As I said, the way ops go so fast these days it's really not likely to happen, but I think that if there is a restriction it'd be nice to know about it ahead of time.

I never seem to catch these big fishes. Would it be a good idea if you set these special opps to appear at different times? Even if you run them through Thursday, they'd all be gone in like ... 2 seconds. :D

Well, I logged in to PPP this morning, and what to my wondering eyes should appear, but $1K tuesdays ... er, international wednesdays... whatever.

There were a total of three $50 opps showing when I got here. They were already grey. I kept refreshing the page ever minute or so, and watched several more appear, already in grey. I finally saw one come up in white, so I clicked on it. But, alas, I didn't make it through the verification screen before someone else did.

Then the biggie hit! It was the $500 opp ... ooops. Already in grey.

This is a friggin' joke! It's almost like playing the lottery. I've been poised over the PPP opportunity page for almost 20 minutes now, and I can't get a break! I'm on a high speed DSL connection, and I can't even get one in time. I pity the poor bastard who is on a dial-up connection ... he doesn't stand a chance (it doesn't appear that I do either). Perhaps it is my proximity to the servers of PPP ...

In any event ... I'm going back to "settle for" my only other opp that matches my blog ... $7.00 for the day. Oh well, I guess it's time to go check in over at Blogsvertise or Smorty ...

Oh yeah, and Tiffany is right ... the opps started dropping at 11:00 am EST. Go figure.

It's no fun to be excluded from opps for whatever reason. So, since non-US bloggers are excluded on a regular basis, it's good to see PPP cares about that and is willing to do a little something about it.

Yes, the 1k Tuesday or Worldwide Wednesday opps started dropping a little early, and they were dropping fast! The server really seems to slow down when those opps start dropping. It takes forever to reload the page. I saw so many gray ones, then a $50 one that wasn't grayed out - missed it! Saw the $500 one drop - missed it! And then I got lucky - snagged a $50 opp. OK, I'm excited.

way to go Anna! i saw the 500 in white, but didn't get through captcha in time, and i had eight fifty dollar ones, but the captcha screen caused my net to slooooooowwwww down for about 45 seconds.

but still , way to go everyone who got one!

Quite irritating to read "let's not go into the readership thingy", like saying: let's not talk about the people killed in Iraq but focus on the fact they do have democracy...

For those who love Las Vegas and lotteries, I suppose these 50 and 150$ opps are fun.

For a postie like me I would rather see opps when I log on once a day. It worked perfect like that before the segmentation.

Oh, the 1K tuesdays are on my Wednesday morning when I'm busy with my offline day job. I saw 2 $50 opp in grey.

Now, the worldwide wednesday which is supposed to be for worlwide posties falls on my THURSDAY mornings!

Great!
